What exactly are we looking for? Good question! No matter what the role, there are a couple things that you need to be to be a fit at Massive Health.
① You should be so passionate about your craft that you could happily talk about it for longer than it takes to watch a pot boil. But refrain from doing so.
② You should embody the paradox of being a highly self-directed team-player. It's like being a metaphorical soccer player: able to run with the ball without guidance but know when to pass or assist. Getting sports analogies shouldn't be your strong point.
③ We favor smart generalists over someone with one specific knowledge base. Never done iOS development but can pick it up in a weekend? You're our kind of person.
④ You should know all the tech buzz-words, but only use them ironically.
⑤ While you don't have to drink the Kool-Aid of Silicon Valley, we are located in San Francisco. Until robots are as ubiquitous as stubbing your toe, we'll need you to either corporeally be in the Bay Area or willing to move.
We're looking for engineers to help build our core mobile application. You will be responsible for helping build a solid foundation for rapid design iteration, resulting in a polished, cross-platform mobile app. You should be design-conscious (although no need to be a designer). No need to have experience in iOS or Android development, but do be willing to convince us you can pick it up. We are a startup, so "front-end" is more of a suggested focus than a rule.
We're looking for engineers to help build our core server platform, which will include web services as well as large-scale data stores and data analysis engines. This is primarily a software development role, although there will likely be some amount of systems engineering as necessary. You should be also be comfortable with more traditional user-facing website development. We are a startup, so "back-end" is more of a suggested focus than a rule.
You will synthesize cohesive technical solutions by leveraging market focused value indicators, while concurrently managing vendor relationships to maximize our in-house value generation capacity on a go-forward basis. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of applying resource management methodologies in dynamic, fast moving scenarios, and is up to date on the current state of cloud based computing strategies. Experience with gastroenterology-focused inspection technologies is a plus, but is not required.
